Carbon Nanostructures — Nanotubes, Fullerenes, Graphene and Nanodiamonds

Further sessions may explore hybrid systems in which carbon nanostructures are combined with polymers, metals, ceramics, or biomolecules to create multifunctional materials. Presentations will consider carbon-based inks, yarns, aerogels, and fibres for flexible electronics, composites, and thermal management. Researchers will examine applications in neural interfaces, drug carriers, tissue scaffolds, and imaging probes, alongside the evidence needed before clinical translation. Attention will be given to doping strategies for catalysis and energy conversion, and to recycling at end of life. In situ microscopy and spectroscopy studies that reveal growth mechanisms will be highlighted. Reproducibility and standard reference materials will remain central.
