Further discussions may examine roll-to-roll nanopatterning, stamping, and high-volume replication for consumer products. Presentations will consider printing of electronics, sensors, and photonic structures on flexible substrates, and the inks and sintering methods required. Researchers will examine in-line inspection, yield analysis, and machine-learning defect classification. Attention will be given to equipment cost, supply chains, and access for academic and small-enterprise users through shared facilities. Emerging ideas such as DNA-directed assembly and robotic microscale manufacturing will be reviewed. Sustainability of etching chemistries and solvent use will also be addressed.
