Nano–Bio Interfaces, Biomimetic and Bioinspired Materials

Further sessions may explore biohybrid systems combining living cells with synthetic nanostructures for sensing, actuation, and energy conversion. Presentations will consider nanofibre scaffolds, hydrogels, and 3D-printed architectures for wound healing, nerve guidance, and cartilage repair. Researchers will examine cell membrane-coated particles, extracellular vesicle engineering, and strategies that evade immune clearance. Attention will be given to long-term implant performance, degradation products, and host response. Microphysiological systems and organ-on-chip models will be reviewed as testing platforms. Regulatory pathways for combination products at the biology–materials boundary will also be discussed.
