Quantum Dots, Nanocrystals and Quantum Materials

Further discussions may cover topological materials, superconductors, magnetic nanostructures, and strongly correlated systems prepared as nanocrystals, thin films, or heterostructures. Presentations will consider single-photon sources, quantum emitters, spin defects in diamond, and their integration into photonic circuits and sensing platforms. Researchers will examine cryogenic measurement, pump–probe techniques, and theoretical modelling that connects atomic structure to quantum behaviour. Attention will be given to device architectures for quantum computing, communication, and sensing, including fabrication tolerances and dominant error sources. Encapsulation, thermal management, and packaging challenges will be reviewed. Pathways from laboratory demonstration to foundry-compatible fabrication will be discussed.
