Further discussions may cover environmental persistence, bioaccumulation, ecotoxicology in soil, water, and microbial communities, and the long-term effects of engineered particles released at scale. Presentations will consider nano-specific safety data requirements for cosmetics, food contact materials, medicines, and agri-inputs. Researchers will examine biomarkers of exposure, dosimetry modelling, and the interpretation of conflicting studies. Attention will be given to grouping and read-across approaches that reduce testing burden while protecting workers and consumers. Safe-by-design principles embedded at the research stage will be highlighted. International harmonisation and transparent communication of uncertainty will be encouraged.
