Nanotechnology for Water Treatment and Environmental Remediation

Further sessions may examine soil and groundwater remediation using zero-valent iron, biochar composites, and enzyme-assisted nanoparticle systems. Presentations will consider air purification, carbon capture materials, and catalytic destruction of volatile organic compounds. Researchers will examine environmental sensing networks that map pollutant distribution at high resolution. Attention will be given to fate and transport modelling, ecotoxicology, and long-term field performance rather than laboratory-only data. Circular economy approaches for recovering valuable metals from waste streams will be reviewed. Policy, public procurement, and community acceptance will be addressed.
